Margaret's Coffee Shop Waffles

Ingredients:
2 eggs, separated
2 c flour
2 Tablespoons sugar
2 c milk
4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoons salt

Directions:

  • Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with milk into beaten egg yolks.
  • Add 6 Tablespoons melted shortening.
  • Fold in beaten egg whites.

* at Bethel I did not beat eggs separately.
